There are many different types of growth factors in the skin, each with their own unique function. We will
specifically be focussing on FGF’s (Fibroblast Growth Factors) due to having a very broad action on the skin
and its functions. These FGF’s play a central role in wound healing, is important for cell multiplication and
also crucial in GAG (Glycosaminoglycan) and collagen synthesis.
When our skins are young, FGF’s are linked to PG’s (Proteoglycans) which help protect them and
encourages linkage to fibroblast receptors. When our skin ages, the amount of PG’s in our skin reduces
which means that growth factors are then more susceptible to degradation.
LINEFACTOR C™
A specialised extract from hibiscus rich in amino acids and known for its highly protective and
uniquely superior regenerating benefits.
Effects include:
A clinical test involving 60 case study participants using biometric measurements,
showed that LineFactor C™:
- improved elasticity
- improved skin texture
- reduced wrinkle depth
- as well as increased skin density and firmness after only 42 days, resulting in a 10 year visual improvement!
- Reinforced barrier function and recovery
Functioning include:
- Mimics the effect of PG’s which: Induce dermal regeneration by stimulating collagen and GAG production
- Protects proteoglycans (proteins of the connective tissue): To restore activity of the fibroblast cells and receptors
