Welcoming Liara Barnard to Youth Beauty
Liara will be taking care of our clients in the Lower South Island. We are very excited to have her join our team. Here are few words from Liara:

" I was introduced to the beauty industry 14 years ago through my Mum’s salon. Before and after school, I helped with admin and minor tasks in and around the salon.

After school, I qualified as a Private Helicopter Pilot and I'm still aiming to complete my Commercial License. I have had the support of my family throughout and a LOT of hard work has gone into this. In the meantime, I furthered my interest in the Beauty Industry by training as a Professional Makeup Artist and Image Consultant.

For the last 5 and a half years, I have freelanced as a makeup artist and have set up my own Brow Bar from home. Apart from Brows, I am also qualified in Eyelash Extensions, Spray Tanning, and Bridal Hairstyling.

In 2016, I had the privilege to complete a Spa Management Diploma (level 4) in Bali.

Beginning of 2018, I immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa. Here, I have completed my NZ Diploma in Business (Leadership & Management) (Level 5).

I have been in sales for the past 10 years, and for the last 2 and a half years I worked as the counter manager for Estee Lauder in Farmers. I grew the counter financially and nurtured our extensive client base. I was also very active on social media and was one of the three people selected from New Zealand to be trained by our Hong Kong office for social media.

In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy exploring our new country. We love to travel and therefore we do a lot of road trips around NZ.

I look forward to my role as Sales Representative for Youth Beauty across the South Island. I am passionate about the beauty industry, good quality products and training. With a dedication for learning, challenges, and high expectations of myself, I obtained a skill set that allows me to work not only as part of a team, but also independently, giving me the ability to think outside of the box.
