smartglass M5 IPL is our state-of-the-art IPL safety glasses that automatically switch its light state at shade level 2.5 to its dark state at shade level 8 whenever harmful light pulses are detected. They can accommodate most prescription glasses while offering reliable, color-neutral eye protection, style, and comfort.

All-new frame and optics:
The most apparent feature is the new custom designed fitover frame of the smartglass M5 IPL. It is robust, lightweight, comfortable, and stylish. It fits new curved custom designed LCD optics for a large distortion free and color neutral viewing area. For additional protection, the frame shields the peripheral vision from glare.
Fitover capable
The new frame is dimensioned in a way that allows the user to wear it over their prescription glasses. Small to medium sized glasses can easily be worn while wearing the smartglass M5 IPL safety glasses. It can also be worn without any glasses underneath.
Improved protection
The smartglass M5 IPL relies on the same proven detection mechanism as the smartglass M3 IPL for speed and reliability. However, upgraded electronics further improve protection behaviour and allow the smartglass M5 IPL to adapt to both pulse length and pulse frequency.
Lifetime and maintenance
Other than cleaning and battery replacement the smartglass M5 IPL requires no maintenance. At normal usage the battery lifetime of the smartglass M5 IPL is 2 years. It uses a standard CR1225 battery that can be exchanged by the user.

What’s in the bag?
smartglass M5 IPL comes fully assembled and ready to use out of the box. Also included are the instruction manual, a carrying case, a textile bag, a cloth for cleaning the optics, a safety strap cord, anti-slip wings and a tool to exchange the battery.
