Eco-friendly and Sustainability Ethics

All paper used by Theravine are FSC approved, which basically is forestry services council approved, meaning the paper is derived from forests that are regenerated. (Note this is an International environment standard)

All our inks used on printing of brochures and packaging are SOYA based inks and 100% environment friendly.

Packaging is recyclable, where end users are also encouraged to recycle all items after use based on the appropriate logo’s on the packaging. 

In everything Theravine does, we aim to minimise the environmental impact in all areas of our business, whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality. We assess the environmental impact of any new processes or products we intend to introduce.

All our ingredients which are naturally obtained are sourced from reputable companies across the world who make it their business to strive to ensure sustainability of plants and species from which their ingredients are sourced. The resulting ingredients are grown, processed, and distributed in such a way that they do not harm the environment.
 

We evaluate each supplier’s sustainability in eco-friendly efforts.

We support companies and ingredients that have received eco-friendly awards.
 

As an example, one of our many suppliers has developed a novel plant cell culture technology that enables the large-scale cultivation of callus cells from rare and protected plant species. Sustainability facts on the technology:
 

• Protection of the biodiversity and preservation of rare and protected plants: An extremely small amount of plant material (e.g. a fruit or a leaf) is needed to establish a plant stem cell line.
• No competition for space: Agricultural land remains available for the cultivation of food as no valuable cultivated land is required for the production of bio mass.
• Significantly reduced water consumption compared to the conventional cultivation of plants.
• 100% naturally pure: No use of fertilizers, pesticides or other chemicals.
• Completely free of genetic engineering / GMO
• ISO 14001:2004 certified environmental management system.

Safety comes first:

Our raw materials are legally permitted as in cosmetic products worldwide, and safe to use.  
All ingredients used undergo strict clinical testing. 
All raw ingredients are toxicology tested with the relevant certification.
All bulk and filled products undergo quality testing per batch from where quality certificates are issued. 
The product as a whole has undergone industry standard clinical testing. 

 

Products are EU and FDA compliant, and are represented in over twenty countries.

THE THERAVINE™ PRODUCT PROMISE:
 

• Do not contain harmful alcohols
• Do not contain harmful perfumes/fragrances
• Do not contain colourants
• Do not contain harmful petrochemicals or mineral oils

The products have not been tested on animals: we never have and never will test raw materials or finished products on animals. 
For this reason, you will notice our very own cruelty free bunny emblem on the latest packaging.

We continue striving to work with ingredients which are biodegradable.

Formulation development is an ongoing process in this regard.  

Sustainable vegetable-based inks are in printing processes, and paper-based materials are obtained from sustainable sources.
