The lights on Radiance LED masks serve different purposes based on their wavelengths, which penetrate the skin at various depths. Here's a breakdown of the difference between Near-Infrared Light (810-850nm) and Red Light (640-670nm):

Near-Infrared Light (810-850nm)

  • Penetration Depth: Near-infrared light penetrates deeper into the skin, reaching tissues and muscles beneath the surface.
  • Benefits:
    • Wound healing: Stimulates cell regeneration and accelerates tissue repair by promoting blood circulation and oxygen delivery to the area.
    • Pain relief: Can help reduce inflammation and discomfort, often used for sore muscles and joints.
    • Improves skin elasticity: Enhances collagen and elastin production in deeper layers.
    • Reduces inflammation: Soothes skin conditions and promotes overall recovery.

Red Light (640-670nm)

  • Penetration Depth: Red light penetrates shallower layers of the skin compared to near-infrared light.
  • Benefits:
    • Boosts collagen production: Targets the dermis to enhance skin elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
    • Improves skin tone and texture: Stimulates blood flow, giving the skin a healthy, radiant glow.
    • Reduces redness and irritation: Helps calm the skin, making it effective for sensitive or inflamed conditions.
    • Promotes surface-level healing: Accelerates the repair of cuts, scars, and other minor skin damage.

Key Difference

  • Near-Infrared Light targets deeper tissues for healing, inflammation reduction, and muscle relaxation, making it more therapeutic for internal repair.
  • Red Light works primarily at the skin's surface and slightly deeper for cosmetic benefits like anti-aging, improving skin texture, and reducing visible redness.

Using both lights together can provide comprehensive skin and tissue care, addressing both surface-level and deeper concerns.

Before You Begin: Insert the Silicone Eye Goggles
  • Take the silicone eye protectors provided with the mask.
  • Insert one goggle into each eye hole on the inside of the face mask.
  • Make sure the raised side of the goggle faces inward, toward the skin, to provide proper eye protection.
  • The flatter side should face outward, sitting flush against the mask surface.

1. Attach the Short Vertical Straps (Face Mask)
  • Find the two thin looped straps (one has eyelets).
  • Loop each one through the side holes on the top half of the face mask (above the cheeks).
  • Insert each strap from the outside in, ensuring the Velcro faces outward.
  • These will act as vertical guides for the wide strap in the next step.

2. Thread the Wide Horizontal Straps (Face Mask)
  • Take the two wide Velcro straps.
  • Thread one into each of the side holes on the middle of the face mask (near the ears).
  • Wrap the straps around the back of the head and Velcro them together.
  • Adjust until the fit is snug but comfortable.

3. Attach the Neck Piece (Optional Use)
  • Find the two smaller straps.
  • Loop one strap into each side of the neck mask.
  • Wrap them around the neck and secure together with Velcro at the back of the neck.
  • Plug both the face mask USB cord and the neck mask USB cord into the remote controller.
