This soft delicate cream soothes and moistens dry and sensitive internal tissues. Gentle and calming, the preparation has been formulated with hydrating and healing ingredients in order to assist with the symptoms of atrophic vaginitis and other causes of vaginal soreness or irritation. Hyaluronic Acid is the universal water binding molecule which hydrates all tissues and Rosehip, Argon and Evening Primrose Oils are all famous for their skin soothing and nourishing effects. The formulation also contains ingredients known to replenish skin, reduce inflammation, improve circulation and deter microbes. Lightly fragranced with natural ingredients and adjusted to the normal vaginal acidity, LYV V-Hydrate is soothing and rejuvenating.
Used regularly it can help to improve comfort and function. Not intended for use as a stand alone lubricant.

LYV is not a lubricant to assist with intercourse, and if you need a lubricant for comfortable intercourse you should continue to use one as it will not interact in any negative way with LYV-Hydrate. However, LYV Hydrate is a moisturiser
designed to improve the comfort and function of the vagina, and may over time reduce your need for added lubricants.
While you are using LYV you can use a lubricant as well as needed and the timing will not matter as there is no negative interaction between LYV-Hydrate and vaginal lubricants.
Will any of the ingredients have an adverse impact on my partner's penis?
LYV-Hydrate, as a moisturiser containing multiple gentle ingredients, will have no adverse effect on the skin of the penis, and may even assist with any lack of condition of penis skin. Estrogen containing creams may not be helpful for the penis, and there has been concern regarding testosterone containing creams designed for me coming into contact with the skin of others, but LYV-Hydrate contains no hormones and is not a risk to any other people.
How does LYV work to decrease vaginal discomfort?
LYV V-Hydrate has many ingredients that soothe and improve the internal surface of the vagina so just like putting moisturiser on dry cracked skin on your face or body it will calm the surface of the vagina.
How long will I need to use the cream?
Continued use ofLYV V-Hydrate will increase the moisture content of the surface of the vagina which allows for better nutritional supply and repair. As the tissue gets stronger you can reduce your usage of the cream.
How long does LYV V-Hydrate take to work?
You should feel relief almost immediately after applying the cream but best results are within a month as the tissue
becomes better hydrated and healthier.
Can I use LYV V-Hydrate with other treatments?
LYV V-Hydrate is compatible with other vaginal creams and pessaries and also with other treatments such as radiofrequency and laser vaginal rejuvenation or LED vaginal devices.
Does LYV V-Hydrate have any problematic ingredients?
LYV V-Hydrate is made from gentle ingredients that are approved for use in Australia & New Zealand. Our formulators have avoided any ingredient that may be considered potentially endocrine disrupting.
How does LYV V-Hydrate work?
The most important ingredient of the cream is hyaluronic acid, which is the universal water binding molecule and serves to hydrate the vaginal mucosa back to a healthy level of moisturisation. Rosehip, Argon and evening primrose oils soothe and nourish the skin, and the pH balance of the cream is adjusted to suit the correct pH for the vagina, which will allow the right balance of microbes for best health.
Will LYV interact with any other medication or cream I use?
LYV doesn’t have any known interactions with any vaginal or systemic medications or preparations. However, if you were to use a lot of another type of cream vaginally you might dilute your LYV and have less benefit from it.
Will LYV cure my problem?
LYV will moisturise your vaginal tissues and improve their springiness and robustness and comfort, but the atrophy of the cells is due to ageing and lack of estrogen so LYV will treat the problem but not make it disappear. You will probably need less LYV as time goes by, especially if you are able to have normal sexual activity as a result, but if you stop using it altogether it is possible your symptoms will return.
There is a restricted range of treatments available for the common and problematic condition known as atrophic vulvovaginitis, with readily available over the counter remedies including moisturizing and lubricating gels, and prescription treatments involving steroid hormones. The former have limited efficacy and no real curative powers, and the latter are surrounded in controversy of public opinion.
Many women therefore remain untreated with this difficult condition. Fear of hormones is possibly the main reason for this, some of it justified, as there is a large group of women who are disallowed from using systemic hormone replacement treatment due to risk of cancer or past cancer.
Atrophic vaginitis can cause pain, discomfort, and sexual dysfunction with concomitant damage to relationships. Thinning of the mucosa and change to the vaginal pH induced by estrogen deficiency predispose the urogenital tract to infection and mechanical weakness. Treatment with oestrogen is often effective but this is not an appropriate treatment for a large group of women, nor a desired treatment for those concerned about the potentially deleterious effects of exogenous hormones.
Up to 40% of post menopausal women suffer symptoms of atrophic vaginitis including decreased lubrication, fragile mucosa which can tear or become inflamed, irritation which extends to the urethra, frequent infections and reduction in pelvic support and continence. 35% of women have some level of incontinence relating to vaginal health. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to be helpful in alleviating the symptoms of vulvovaginal atrophy while simple humectants have not been shown to help. Our company is committed to providing non hormonal vaginal products that relieve these symptoms.
