Princess® is a viscoelastic solution to replenish the loss of hyaluronic acid due to ageing, to improve hydration, tone and elasticity of the skin and to act as a hydrophilic filler for small lines such as crow’s feet, smile lines or smoke lines surrounding the mouth, décolleté, and the back of aging hands.

It is indicated to be introduced into the superficial dermal tissue via a dermal needling procedure. This treatment uses advanced monophasic and reticulated technology of non-cross linked stabilised hyaluronic acid which naturally occurs in the body and breaks down with aging, combined with highly concentrated glycerol to get better dermal needling results than any other product on the market.

No matter how sophisticated a skin care routine may be, facial volume is inevitably lost as the body ages, and beautiful, youthful appearance cannot be re-established unless this volume is replaced. Princess Rich is designed to replace the lost volume and achieve the natural beautiful look.

Treatment is not recommended in case of:

  • Known persistent hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Pregnancy or breast-feeding
  • Simultaneous peeling or laser treatment
  • Skin infections
About Skin Ageing

There are two main causes for the ageing process:
  • Intrinsic factors which means genetics endowments determining the pace of ageing.
  • Extrinsic factors, which we can influence to a certain extent, such as our lifestyle (smoking, stress, nutrition habits, leisure activities), our facial expressions and most important our exposure to sun and UV radiation.

What Princess® Can Do For You
Princess® Rich filler can:
·      Reduce the appearance of superficial lines
·      Add volume, hydrate and rejuvenate your skin
·      Improve tone and elasticity of your skin

Princess Fillers:
Fillers are most often used for correcting wrinkles and furrows, restoring volume to hollows and for facial sculpting. Common uses include filling facial hollows and troughs produced by the ageing process or depressed injury, surgical or acne scars; lifting the outer eyebrows and creating higher, more youthful cheekbones; and adding volume and definition to the lips. filler aces-126-417
  Benefits of Princess Fillers:

The key role of Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural element of our body, fulfils important functions such as maintaining moisture, firmness and elasticity in the skin. Environmental factors such as excessive and intensive sun exposure, and the natural ageing process contribute to the depletion in the body’s own level of hyaluronic acid. The skin becomes drier, thinner, and loses suppleness and elasticity. Lines and wrinkles appear. Volume decreases and changes the overall harmony of the face.

Apart from moisturising and hydrating the skin plus the smoothing-out of wrinkles, the increase of hydration in the skin is of critical importance as it helps in getting essential nutrition to the skin cells, as well as providing the vehicle for proper waste removal from the cells as it helps to increase the amount of water held in the extracellular matrix of the skin.
This is an important point – as it not only supremely hydrates the skin, but also assists with the proper functioning of the actual cells in the skin and has a structure stabilizing function as well.
As stated previously, hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the skin, but as we age the percentage of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases, which also accounts for the loss of hydration and moisture in the skin. The decrease of hyaluronic acid starts at around the age of 20, but becomes apparent when people get into their 30s and 40s. The decrease also affects the way that the skin operates and ultimately results in wrinkling and loss of elasticity and a decrease of collagen – the support of the skin. Furthermore, it negatively impacts on the fibroblasts of the skin – and this leads to even less collagen being made, which also cause the skin to become far less elastic. An enzyme action in the skin – hyaluronidase – breaks down hyaluronic acid, and for this reason it needs to be replenished if strong, supple smooth skin is to be maintained.
The Key role of Glycerol

Glycerol is used for both cosmetic purposes and as a treatment for medical conditions of the skin. It is what is called a humectant, meaning it attracts water and maintains hydration on an intercellular level making the skin not only moist, but soft and supple to the touch. Glycerol promotes skin cell maturation, signally the cell to mature in a normal fashion rather than too quickly interrupting any abnormal process which allows the cell to reach full maturation before shedding. Glycerol can also help to heal wounds.
The combination of these two natural substances in a stabilised form offer an extremely safe alternative to more invasive treatments.
Safety:

  1. Princess® products are based on hyaluronic acid (HA) of non-animal origin, thus hypoallergenic. That means no allergy testing is required previously to the treatment.
  2. The products are manufactured in Austria with a unique technology according to highest safety standards. The gels are absolutely pure, controlled and extremely well tolerated in the body.
  3. The treatment's results are immediately visible and long–lasting but not permanent.
  4. The formulations are absorbable and show an effect for several months depending on the treatment area, the injection technique and your skin type.
  5. Like other products of the Princess line, the Princess Rich gel is biodegradable.
  6. Thanks to CROMA’s unique purification process and sterilization, limited risks of side effects or inflammation are guaranteed.
  7. Because hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found throughout the body, allergic reactions are very rare.
The manufacturer CROMA takes pride in maintaining the complete ownership of the development of this product – design, manufacturing, primary and secondary packaging, labelling inspection, final inspection, moist heat sterilization and release – in contrast to most competitors in the aesthetic market.
Princess Volume and Princess Filler are not available for use by beauty therapists.
Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMPs)

Both UVR and dermal needling trigger MMPs. MMPs break down old connective tissue structures and inhibit collagen production when in high levels, to spur the formation of new collagen. Initially with needling there will be some erythema/inflammation which is in response to the controlled injury. MMPs will continue to increase post treatment as part of wound healing and begin to decline again after approximately 14 days. Then the remodelling process begins during which hyaluronic acid and new collagen and elastin fibres are produced.

If MMPs are not controlled - instead of stimulating collagen production, collagen destruction will occur. Therefore MMPs must be controlled during treatment with dermal needling and Princess Rich for optimal results for your client. To inhibit prolonged stimulation during this course UVR must be avoided as much as possible through the use of sunblock. To further prevent the prolonged stimulation of MMPs topical treatments for controlling MMP activity should be started prior to treatment at home and continued during the course.

MMP Inhibitors (A-FIX, C-FIX, AGEFIX and SUNFIX)
When MMP activity is turned on, collagen synthesis shuts down. If MMPs are not controlled - instead of stimulating collagen production, collagen destruction will occur. So for best results while stimulating collagen, elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid biosynthesis MMPs should be controlled, by the client using the following ingredients before, during and after Dermal Needling treatments.
