Light Emitting Diode (LED) or also called cold laser is a kind of homochromy light with high purity and narrow spectrum and is classified very safe compared with laser or Intense Pulse Light (IPL); it is even safer than sunlight as it does not contain harmful ultraviolet light.
Color therapy has been popular since ancient Egypt and Light Therapy has been used in Europe for over 30 years and thousands of research studies have been undertaken to proof its effectiveness.
LED technology was originally developed by NASA to improve wound healing and tissue growth in space. It assisted with tired and fatigued astronauts upon their return. The potential of this technology was uncovered and introduced into the medical markets.In 2003, the FDA of USA approved application of LED in acne treatment and skin rejuvenation.
The treatment solutions driven by LED light provide many advanced benefits to a variety of skin flaws. LED light energy is capable of penetrating the skin up to 50 mm in depth. Most other current wrinkle reducing treatment solutions unavoidably introduces heat effects, which causes an increase of both collagen protein and collagen enzyme, too much collagen enzyme restrains the collagen protein from growing, and therefore the effects of laser, IPL and RF seems to level out following a series of treatments.

Acne Formation
Acne develops when the sebaceous glands in a person's skin produces excess oil (sebum). This oil combines with cells that line the gland walls and clogs the skin’s pores. Normal skin bacteria colonize these pores and the body’s response causes the inflammation or reddening of the skin that we associate with acne. Sometimes, the pore turns into a pimple. A pimple may then develop into a whitehead or blackhead or Comedones.

How does LED light therapy work for treating Acne?
One of the key bacteria responsible for the inflammation is Propionibacterium acnes or P.acnes. These bacteria produce natural chemicals called poryphyrins, which are sensitive to light at different wavelengths. If stimulated, these chemicals will neutralise the bacteria and with no bacteria present inflammation will subside.

Omni LED Blue (470nm) Wavelength stimulates these chemicals and eradicates the bacteria that cause the redness or inflammation of acne. This is combined Omni Red Wavelength (633nm) which has anti- inflammatory properties, will help to minimize the redness of acne lesions and promote healthier skin.

What is Infrared Therapy
Light therapy has been shown in over 40 years of independent research worldwide to deliver powerful therapeutic benefits to living tissues and organisms. Both visible and infrared light have been shown to effect at least 24 different positive changes at a cellular level. Visible light penetrates tissue to a depth of about 8-10 mm. It is very beneficial in treating problems close to the surface such as wounds, cuts, scars, trigger and acupuncture points and is particularly effective in treating infections. Infrared light (850nm) penetrates to a depth of about 30-40mm which makes it more effective for bones, joints, deep muscle, etc.
Depth of penetration is defined as the depth at which 60% of the light is absorbed by the tissue, while 40% of the light will continue to be absorbed in a manner that is less fully understood. Treating points with light can have a dramatic effect on remote and internal areas of the body through the stimulation of nerves, acupuncture and trigger points that perform function not unlike transmission cables.
The technology is now becoming accepted and widely used in human medicine as well. Light therapy stimulates the natural healing power in the cells of the body. This tool uses the energy of light, called photon energy, to stimulate the activity of certain cell components. By using photo energy, you have a simple, effective, non-pharmacological medical alternative. Conservative management of acute and chronic injuries and postoperative wounds has come to include the use of photo energy because it is quickly effective, cost effective, and easy to administer.

How does Infrared therapy work?
The infrared light 850nm increases cellular metabolic rates by inciting mitochondria activity, which spurs enzyme activity, flushing out toxins and decreasing any pain and inflammation. Infrared light accelerates the production of cell tissue and quickly advances the regeneration of skin and blood tissues in any area exposed to the light. Infrared therapy also contributes to the reinforcement of the body’s resistance to disease, augmenting the capacity of oxygen in the blood, and diminishes the frequency of colds and respiratory infections.
